According to a survey conducted by Robert Half, 33% of smart workers would prefer to leave their jobs rather than return to the office. According to a report by Newzoo, there are over 31.7 million gamers worldwide who will spend approximately $2.4 billion on cloud-based services and games by the end of 2022. However, it's not just gaming those benefits from the cloud. Cloud-based services have become an essential part of our work lives. On average, an employee uses 36 cloud services in their daily routine, ranging from email and file storage to software usage, security, and CRM.

When it comes to sectors that derive the most benefits from cloud services, the financial, insurance, and banking sectors stand out, representing 25% of total revenues. Information Technology services come in second place, while telecommunications complete the top three, according to a study by Grandview Research.

According to Gartner, in 2022, 14% of the total IT spending will be allocated to cloud services, making the United States the country with the highest cloud spending. The United States also boasts the highest number of data centers globally, with 2,653, followed by the United Kingdom (451) and Germany (442).

A study conducted by Accenture found that companies migrating from physical servers to the cloud achieve a 65% reduction in energy consumption and an 84% decrease in carbon emissions. Data centers are moving to cooler areas or even underwater, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Finally, the survey revealed that 60% of Italian companies use cloud services, placing Italy in fifth place in Europe. This figure surpasses the European average calculated by Eurostat (42%) and positions Italy ahead of countries like Germany (40%) and France (30%). Sweden tops the list with 75%, while Bulgaria closes the ranking with only 13%.
